INNOVATIVE TEST - Quantiferon - TB Gold

QuantiFERON -TB Gold is the world`s first TB diagnostic test that`s unaffected by BCG vaccination or NTM infection. By targeting specific antigens to stimulate t- cells within a patient`s whole blood sample, IFN -gamma secretions are directly measured to indicate if TB onfection id present. The assay provides a clear and sample YES/NO answer. No interpretation of the test result related to the subject`s TB risks is required.

The 4 easy steps of the QuantiFERON-TB Gold Procedure

	Collect 5ml of whole blood into a heparinized blood collection tube.
	Transfer undiluted whole blood into 4 wells of a culture plate (1ml per well), add 3 drops of each antigen.
	Incubate overnight at 378C. Blood from TB infected patients will produce Interferon-gamma (IFN-y).
	Detect released IFN-y in harvested plasma using a quick and easy ELISA, for a simple YES/NO answer.
